The Hotel La Palmeraie is also within walking distance of the shops and restaurants at the centre of town, along Général de Gaulle Avenue. La Baule-Escoublac (usually shortened to just La Baule) is just over a 1 hour drive from Nantes and can also be accessed via high-speed train from Montparnasse station in Paris.
