Come to the Carmel Forest Spa Resort just south of Haifa, Israel for true relaxation and rejuvenation. The Carmel Forest Spa Resort Hotel spoils visitors with beautiful accommodations overlooking the forest, and hotel guests enjoy free use of the spa facilities. Carmel Forest is considered Israel’s largest and most luxurious spa. Its facilities include an outdoor pool, open in season; a heated indoor pool, open all year; and an authentic Turkish bath with hot and cold water. The separate locker room and shower facilities for men and women contain their own wet and dry saunas and a dipping pool. It is recommended that guests reserve spa treatments in advance. A fitness room with views of the Mediterranean offers the use of treadmills, stationary bikes, weight machines, cross-trainers, free weights, and other equipment. The spa staff organizes numerous fitness activities, such as water aerobics, Tai-Chi, yoga, trampoline, and Kendo. Extra charges apply for some classes, including spinning, Pilates, swimming, and tennis. If you leave your swimsuit or training shoes at home, you’ll find a great substitute at the resort’s shop, which carries sportswear, swimwear, and shoes as well as cosmetics and gifts. The restaurant at Carmel Forest serves healthy gourmet, kosher cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There’s also a hair salon and a reading room stocked with books and magazines. Hotel staff members lead nature walks in the surrounding Carmel Hai-Bar Nature Reserve, a 600 hectare/1480 acre wilderness area in the Carmel Mountains where endangered animals such as the griffon vulture, Persian fallow deer, and mountain gazelle are bred for reintroduction to the wild.
