Hotel Pestana Dom João II is situated in the Pestana Dom João Village, a comfortable, well-established beach resort, enjoying an enviable location overlooking the splendid Portuguese Alvor beach, which stretches several kilometres. The estuary of the Alvor river, close to the hotel, is one of the country's most important bird sanctuaries. The hotel, which first opened in 1972 and was renovated in 1997, has 5 floors and 3 lifts.
